After reading an article in the South Wales Argus concerning recycling in the Caerphilly area, I am writing to make a few comments.

I always try to recycle anything suitable and have found it to be much easier since we were able to use one brown "wheely" bin as opposed to several different boxes with no lids.

I realise that sorting has now to be done by others, and single boxes would only have to be checked periodically; however, I think that if it were made more difficult for people to sort in their homes, more might be put into general rubbish bins. If we return to separate boxes, it is more difficult to find storage space for these at domestic premises, and items can be blown out of the boxes at the roadside.

Any "wheely" bin can be emptied by similar trucks, but if we return to separate boxes, the more elaborate sectional trucks may need to be used adding more time to the street collections and more expense incurred in the purchase of new vehicles.

Thank you for your time.
